Summer break is the perfect time for soccer players to focus on individual development and prepare for a stronger upcoming season. Whether you’re a college or club soccer training with a team or flying solo, here are 4 key areas to target during your summer preseason:

1. Build a Rock-Solid Foundation: Strength training is crucial for soccer players. Aim for 2-3 sessions per week, focusing on both total body workouts and exercises that target your lower body strength and core stability. This will give you the power and explosiveness you need to dominate on the field.

2. Sharpen Your Technical Skills: Ball mastery is everything in soccer. Dedicate 2-3 sessions per week to honing your technical skills. This includes drills for passing, dribbling, receiving, and shooting. The more comfortable you are with the ball at your feet, the more creative.

3. Develop Unwavering Stamina: Pushing your limits with interval training is essential for building game-changing endurance. Aim for 1-2 interval training sessions per week.
