- Mastering Technique: diving, shot-stopping, parrying, and footwork fundamentals.
- Ball Control & Management: learn to effectively control and distribute the ball.
- Game-Specific Training: hone your decision-making and reactions under pressure.
Structured Training for Peak Performance:
Each session follows a 4-phase structure:
- Activation: enhance coordination, agility, and reaction time.
- Technique Practice: perfect fundamental goalkeeper skills.
- Skill (Pressure Practice): incorporate plyometrics, improve stamina, and refine decision-making.
- Unannounced Practice: develop game awareness and pressure performance under realistic scenarios.
Sample Training Activities:
- Defending the Goal Line: positioning, body shape, and mastering the "Goalkeeper Bubble."
- Blocking Techniques: diving, parrying, and controlling rebounds at close range.
- 1v1 Saves: effective strategies for defending passes, reducing shooting space, and decision-making.
- Long Shots: mastering extension and collapse dives for confident saves.
- Recovery Techniques: learn the "Rocker," "Swivel," and "Same-Side" recovery methods.
- Reading & Attacking Crosses: choose the best approach to deal with crosses effectively.
- Initiating Attacks: develop quick and accurate throws or kicks to transition from defense to offense.
