- Dates: July 28 - August 3
- Time: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM daily
- Ages: 6-14 (split into appropriate age and ability groups)
- Curriculum Focus (Ages 8-14): Building the Foundation (core technical skills & tactical principles), Breaking Lines & Organized Play, Refining Skills & Penetration, Creativity and Awareness
- Curriculum Focus (Ages 6-8): Age-appropriate introduction to technical skills and game understanding.
Position Summary:
The Lead Coach will be responsible for the planning, organization, and delivery of high-quality soccer training sessions for the Fairo Soccer Camp. You will lead different groups of campers each , ensuring a positive and developmental experience while implementing the camp curriculum.
Assistant Coaches will support the Lead Coach in delivering engaging and effective soccer training sessions for the Fairo Soccer Camp. You will work directly with campers, providing instruction and creating a positive learning environment.
Compensation:
$750 - $2000 for the week, dependent on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities:
- Design and present engaging and effective daily session plans that align with the camp curriculum and age-appropriate development.
- Lead and instruct campers in technical skills, tactical concepts (including positional play and rondo-based games), and game formats.
- Apply knowledge of the USSF Player Development Framework in session design and delivery.
- Organize and manage individual competitions that focus on technical to skill development.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of child development and adapt coaching methods to suit various ages and skill levels.
- Create a fun, safe, and inclusive learning environment for all campers.
- Communicate effectively with campers, parents (as needed), and the Camp Director.
- Supervise and mentor Assistant Coaches, providing guidance and feedback.
- Ensure the proper use and care of equipment.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience coaching youth soccer.
- Strong knowledge of positional play, rondo-based games, the USSF Player Development Framework, and game format session planning.
- Ability to design and deliver effective session plans.
- Understanding of the technical to skill (challenge) individual competition format.
- Knowledge of child development principles and the ability to apply them effectively across different age groups.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other coaches.
- Reliable transportation and ability to commute to Milton, WA daily is preferred.
- Relevant coaching certifications (e.g., USSF licenses) are a plus.
